Anchors Aweigh Hair Co. was founded in 2013 in Knoxville, Tennessee by Hairstylist and Army Veteran, Ben Miller.
Ben spent a few years serving the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC. A few weeks before his Army discharge, Ben’s only brother unexpectedly passed away.
Plans to continue the musical endeavors that he and his brother had started when they were very young were no longer possible, so Ben found himself exploring other life options, on his own.
Several years and a few professions later, Ben decided to attend the TONI & GUY Academy in Carrollton, Texas. That is where his passion for hairstyling was ignited and where he began learning the ropes of running a professional product line.
2012 was an amazing year for Ben, as he had a beautiful baby boy with the girl of his dreams and finally started putting his visions of a hair product company to life.
After teaching himself cosmetic chemistry, web design, business bookkeeping, and marketing, in August of 2013, Ben started to sell his product. The rest, for now, is history in the making.

When applied to damp hair, it gives you an amazing shine/hold that will last for days.
If you want the dry/matte look, just apply, then once it’s dried on your hair, brush your hair and it’ll look like you don’t have any product in your hair.
All Anchors Aweigh Hair Company products are handmade and free of any petroleum, paraben or alcohol. They are also 100% animal cruely free and courage clay is vegan as well!
Unlike alot of other clays, this clay is a soft texture and easy to apply. Water-based for ease of washing and restyling. Washes out after 2-4 washes depending on how much you use. This vegan hair clay offers a lasting hold that works much longer than machine manufactured pomades. Handmade for quality control. Every pomade is hand checked and sniffed for maximum results.
